Well school is over and holidays have officially begun.
How many days will it be before the 'I'm bored' chorus

From tiny ants to enormous elephants, they've all visited
the studio of top advertising (and fine art) photographer,
Tim Flach. And on 24th and 25th September you will be able
to attend a presentation evening by Tim in Dubai OR Abu Dhabi
and learn exactly how you go about photographing a 90 00lb
African elephant, a pot bellied Vietnamese pig, shy bats
or a beautiful white stallion in a London basement studio.
Although without knowing it, I am sure you have seen Tim's
work in the many advertising campaigns he was worked on,
you may also be familiar with his brilliant images that
were used for the Millennium stamp and Breast Cancer
project in the UK.
His fine art images hang in galleries in New York, London and
Paris and his solo exhibitions have been held in Shanghai,
China; Houston Museum of Natural Science in Texas;
Max Planck Institute in Berlin and KO University in Tokyo.
His images are also in the permanent collections of the
City Hall and Citadel in Berlin, and The Heng Dian in China.
From the 16th September you will also have an opportunity
to see a small collection of Tim's work at Wafi Mall.
Thanks to Tim Flach, Wafi and 7 Days, this event has become more
that just a great opportunity for photographers and art lovers
to meet and learn from a master photographer.
At the end of the exhibition, the 15 beautiful limited
edition prints will be auctioned off at a Charity Auction
on the 27th September and the profits donated to
Al Noor - Training Centre for Special Needs Children.

Gulf Photo Plus 2006

Pencil in the 15th - 18th February for the next
Gulf Photo Plus event.
We have some great teacher / photographers lined up.
Bryan Peterson and Robin Nichols have agreed to return
and have some great new courses planned. They will be
joined by Charlie Borland and Michel Curel, who are very
excited about visiting Dubai and are full of great ideas
for new and different workshops.
